The Crua Duo is the ideal 2 person, lightweight tent for the avid adventurer seeking portability and insulation. Rugged, waterproof, and lightweight, the Duo is designed to handle just about any wilderness destination you can imagine. No wonder it’s been dubbed the “choose your own adventure” camping tent. While the Duo is designed to be a lightweight, 4-season tent, you can also insulate the Crua Duo for cold weather by adding the modular Crua Cocoon insulated tent inside the Duo to optimize the tent’s ability to block out bright light, dampen intrusive noises and regulate the tent’s interior temperature.

Expectations more than met so far…… I’ve had my Crua Core, Cocoon and Duo delivered today. I’ve only managed to erect the Duo and Cocoon so far on a warm, sunny spring afternoon, but everything promised on the website has been delivered.
The quality of the product appears to be very good (will wait for some really bad weather to test it thoroughly). The Duo was easy for me to erect by myself, and the Cocoon went up inside it in a jiffy.
The combination is spacious and comfortable with thoughtful design touches, making life in a tent much easier. The quality of construction has also impressed.

I recently purchased the Tri and Duo + Cocoon Tents. So far, I have enjoyed two trips of high alpine camping – both campsites and backpacking. Here is my review. Overall, bravo…job well done! The Duo + Cocoon works perfectly. Inflating the Cocoon is easy simple. The combination of the Duo & Cocoon is the ultimate roomy crib for one person, or a cozy pad for 2 very good friends. The Duo without Cocoon is a great sub 6 pound 4-Season backpacking tent. From the backpacking perspective, the sub 6-pound Duo is a luxury penthouse. Plenty of room for two adults chillin in their Helinox chairs (510 grams) – I am now ready to comfortably wait out the next never-ending rain storm. I have no improvement suggestions for the Duo.

[Decided] on a Duo/Cocoon. Ordering was easy. Delivery was fast. I set up the tent myself in 15-20 min my first try. The tent fit my 72″ sleeping pad with room for a small table, my backpack and more. Very solid quality. Very happy with my choice.

Great winter tent! Nice and warm. Bought Crua’s 2 man tent with the insulated inner (cocoon). Took it to the Yorkshire Dales last weekend and it was great! Kept us both really warm despite 2c (feels like) temperature outside.

One tough tent. My girlfriend and I used the Crua Duo for both car camping and hiking in Iceland. We also made use of the Crua Cacoon while car camping. We could not have asked for a better tent. The insulation was great not only for thermal reasons, but also for reducing rain noise and keeping out the light since the sun never set while we were there.
The tent itself was very water proof and sturdy. Wind speeds reached high enough that at times we had to lay down to keep from being blown off of our feet. With minimal coverage in the way of wind breaks the tent was fine. Even without getting the chance to dry it for two weeks straight it didn’t shown any signs of wear. We have had it for two years now and subjected it to several more trips. Still looks and works like new.
